Laguna Hills also has excellent parks, restaurants, and places to shop. Unfortunately, the Laguna Hills Mall closed, and at the time of writing, this has still not been reopened or redesigned. Laguna Hills officially became a city in 1991. A local landmark called the Taj Mahal Medical Center, built in 1964 is an example of contemporary neoclassical architecture.
