Incorporated in 1926, Placentia (derived from a Latin word meaning “pleasant place to live”) is located in Northern Orange County, about 35 miles southeast of Los Angeles, close to Yorba Linda and Fullerton. It’s a great place for birdwatching enthusiasts and fishing for catfish and bass in the lakes. The ‘Concerts in the Park’ summer series begins at 6:30 pm each Thursday evening. The George Key Ranch is a must-visit historic site with a house, park, and museum on over 2 acres, surrounded by over 400 Valencia orange trees.
