The California Fire Authority approached Entry Systems, needing urgent replacements for their outdated garage doors at a historic property off the Ortegas. The existing doors were approximately 40 years old, showing significant wear and tear, impacting the functionality essential for the quick deployment of fire-fighting equipment.

Choosing the Right Doors
For this project, we selected CHI’s model 3240 commercial sectional doors. These doors are known for their robust 24-gauge ribbed steel construction, which is ideal for frequent use in demanding environments.
Enhancements and Upgrades
- Torsion Springs: We upgraded to 50k high cycle springs, ensuring the doors can withstand frequent use without faltering.
- Operating Systems: We installed the LiftMaster 87802 heavy-duty chain drive systems, chosen for their superior durability and reliability.
