By the 1990s, the theater and many of Fullerton's historic sites had fallen into disrepair. Efforts to restore the Fox Fullerton Theater culminated in the late 1990s, with it being listed on the National Register of Historic Places, supported by state funds and community donations, including a pivotal $1 million contribution.

Innovations and Fun Facts

Fullerton has been a site of innovation and creativity. Notably, in 1934, the original Hawaiian Punch recipe was concocted here. Additionally, in 1949, Leo Fender designed the first mass-produced electric guitar, the Fender Stratocaster, marking Fullerton as an important place in musical history.

Today, Fullerton continues to celebrate its rich history with 23 buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, preserving its heritage and continuing to inspire both residents and visitors alike.
