Why Choose CHI’s Stylite Windows for your Modern Garage Door Upgrade?
Transcript of Our Video Interview with Jonathan, Manager of Garage Door Operations
Interviewer: Hi Jonathan! We're here today in San Juan Capistrano, and you’re talking about the new Stylite garage door windows from CHI.
Jonathan: Yes, I wanted to share some information about CHI's new Stylite windows. Other brands have had similar designs in the past, but we’re really excited that CHI is now offering this option.
These Stylite windows are a slim, sleek style that can be placed in any part of the door where the panels would typically go. They’re often installed on the left or right vertical edges, but you can add as many as you like in various placements throughout the door. Currently, they come only in a black frame, though CHI may introduce other frame colors in the future.
They’re available in clear, tinted, and frosted glass, and the glass is insulated for better energy efficiency. The look is very modern and subtle, providing a slim line of light without overwhelming the door with too much glass. Each window is about 30 inches long and 4 inches tall.
Other brands have offered similar designs for a while, so we're excited that CHI now has Stylite windows as an option. This allows customers to choose one of CHI’s faux wood grain finishes or any other color they prefer without needing to look elsewhere. However, these windows are only available in CHI’s plank and flush panel designs, as these are the more modern styles and wouldn’t typically suit a traditional or carriage house look. Also, they’re only available with steel-back insulated garage doors.
Interviewer: So, do these windows let a lot of light into the garage?
Jonathan: They don’t let in as much light as traditional windows would, but they still provide a nice amount of natural light. Since they’re customizable, you can place them anywhere on the door and choose the number of windows you want, creating a truly modern aesthetic.
For homeowners seeking a modern look, slim windows like these are actually quite popular because they offer a minimalist appearance, as opposed to the large, traditional windows you’d typically see on a carriage house door.
Interviewer: Got it. Is this style more expensive than other window options?
Jonathan: The Stylite windows might be a bit more costly, primarily because they come with insulated glass, unlike traditional single-pane garage door windows. Additionally, they require an upgraded model—the steel-back insulated door—and are available only in CHI's modern door options.
So, there are a few limitations, but if you're aiming for a modern aesthetic, Stylite windows are a great option. They're a popular choice among customers looking for a sleek, minimalist style. CHI just launched this new window design in early October 2024.
Interviewer: Thanks for the update!
Jonathan: You’re welcome!
